Man’s Starbucks Order Is So Ridiculous It Goes Viral
A Starbucks employee shared a photo of a customer’s extremely specific order on Twitter and now it’s gone viral. The order featured 13 different instructions and this is why I don’t work in food service anymore.
The barista called Josie on Twitter shared the picture of the order from a customer named “Edward”. “Edward” wanted 13 different add-ons or alterations to his order and I don’t get it. I realize that as a restaurant or coffee shop, you strive to make the customer happy, but this is too much! If I was behind “Edward” at the coffee shop, I’d probably say something. I mean, DUDE! Come on!
Am I the only one that thinks this is just too much? This isn’t a coffee order, it’s a recipe for a dessert! There should be a limit to what you can order. Just seeing this order makes me annoyed! And how much is coffee when you add all that stuff? $50? Talk about high maintenance! If I was dating someone that ordered this complicated coffee, it would be a deal breaker for me. I’d walk away!
The tweet has over 300,000 likes and over 48,000 retweets and shows little sign of slowing down. Other barista’s also shared complex orders from customers, some with more ingredients than “Edward” People! It’s coffee! If you want a milkshake, go to Cook Out or to an ice cream shop.
