What Most People Do By The Time They’re 35
Is life turning out the way you thought it would? If not, and you’re under the age of 35, you still have time to get things back on track. If you’re over 35, you also still have time, just not as much.
Business Insider crunched the numbers and found some statistical trends common to the average 35-year-old. In other words, this is what most typical Americans have accomplished by the time they’ve turned 35, but it’s not all good:
1. Get married. Most common marrying age is 27 for women and 29 for men.
2. Give birth. The average American woman has her first baby by age 28.
3. Buy a home. Median age for first-time homeowners is 32.
4. Earn an average salary of $49,400.
5. Have an average net worth of $14,226 (not incl. home equity).
6. Carry $133,100 of debt.
7. Work 11 different jobs by the age of 35.
