Andrew Dice Clay Parents Lady Gaga In ‘A Star Is Born’
Bradley Cooper’s highly-anticipated remake of A Star is Born opens in theaters today and it features a strong lineup of acting talent. In addition to directing the film, Cooper appears alongside Lady Gaga, Sam Elliott, and Dave Chappelle. One name in the cast might surprise you, though: Andrew Dice Clay.
“The Diceman” set aside his bawdy nursery rhymes for some impressive acting performances in recent years. Andrew Dice Clay plays the father of Lady Gaga’s character in A Star is Born and he considers himself very lucky to have landed the part because he had some serious competition.
Hollywood heavyweights Robert DeNiro, John Turturro, and John Travolta were also being considered for the role, but Cooper called Clay. The grateful comedian quipped, “Those guys work enough.”
