Have you taken an at-home DNA test, like 23andMe or AncestryDNA? If not, there’s a chance you could be getting one for Christmas. They’re a popular holiday gift item this year.
Digging into one’s own past and researching family roots really took off in 2018. Thanks to those home DNA testing kits, you can discover all sorts of things about yourself that you didn’t know. But what are you supposed to do with that information? How about taking a trip?

DNA vacations will be the big travel trend in the coming year, according to travel guide book publisher Lonely Planet. Some travel companies are partnering with professional genealogists to organize custom tours based on DNA test findings.
This makes sense. If you suddenly knew where your people came from, wouldn’t you be curious to see what it looks like and what else you can learn about your genealogy?
