Flashback! Things From The 80’s That We Used To Do
I stumbled across this list yesterday, and it took me down memory lane! If you grew up in the 80’s, there’s a good chance that you used to own some of these things, and do some of these things. I thought since Christmas just passed, this would be a good thing to share. I definitely got some of these things as gifts as a kid!
The first thing that made me flashback was the ballerina jewelry box. I can remember when I got mine, and exactly where it was in my room. I loved that thing! Of course, the Barbie convertible was a must have, and Barbie ALWAYS needed new shoes. Those things always got lost, or eaten by a dog.
Taterskins! What ever happened to those? Those were tasty. I remember eating those after school, while watching MTV. My Dad was/is a HUGE chocolate fan, so he always had at least five containers of the General Foods International Coffee Suisse Mocha in the cabinet at all times. I loved drinking it! I felt so grown up.
If you had long hair, at some point as a kid you wore the ponytail holders with the little balls on the ends. If you took those out of your hair wrong, you’d pop yourself in the head with them. They tended to pull your hair out too! Ouch! And white Keds! Remember getting those and trying to keep them as white as possible? They had to be very white so you could wear your very white, thick socks with them. Ahhhhh….80’s fashion.
