I've been single for a few years now. Yes, I've tried some dating apps, but honestly, I'm not really a fan of them. Going out on weekends with friends is a great way to meet people, but as I get older, I don't do that as much.

There's a new dating app called Pheramor, that is unlike any of the dating apps that I've used. This dating app uses your DNA to find your perfect match.  You sign up through the app, and they’ll send you a DNA kit. You give your cheek a swab and send it back. The app developers then look at your HLA gene which is something in your DNA  that determines attraction. Supposedly, the more different this gene is from other people, the more likely you are to be attracted to each other. Yup!

Part of me thinks this is cool! The other part of me isn't quite sure about sending my DNA to some random app developers. How do you know your DNA won't end up somewhere else?  It's an interesting concept though.

Find out more about this here. The scientific part of this is definitely cool! And Pheramor users have more second dates than people that have used other apps. For right now, I'm just gonna stay single and buy myself my OWN Valentine's Day gift! :)
