Heartwarming Video Of A Homeless Man Singing With A Girl With Down Syndrome
This is your “feel good Friday” moment, and you may need to go ahead and grab the tissues before watching the video. Just giving ya a heads up!
Kimberly Phillips, of Columbia, SC, experienced an amazing moment between her daughter and a homeless gentleman this past Sunday. Her daughter Nevaeh has Down Syndrome and is generally non-verbal. That changed. Nevaeh, who was in the arms of the homeless gentleman outside of Christ Central Concessions of Hope homeless shelter, began to sing with him.
Phillips was in awe when her daughter began singing, so she decided to get the moment on film. She posted the video on her Facebook page, and it quickly went viral. When Phillips woke up on Thursday morning, she found out the video had surpassed a million views! She then decided to set out to find the man that made it possible. In another post to Facebook, Phillips said she and her daughter had tracked the man down and gave him the awesome news. He was beyond excited.
This is truly one of the most pure forms of joy I have ever seen. My eyes welled up with tears. If you’ve been dealing with the winter blues, this video will warm your heart. Happy Friday!
