Summer is coming and so are these words: "Mom, I'm bored."

If you haven't already filled your child's summer schedule with camps, trips, or other activities, you'll soon run out of available options. But there's still time to get your kids signed up for free bowling.

The annual Kids Bowl Free Program is offered at over 1,500 bowling centers in the U.S. and Canada. Each registered child gets two free games daily through the summer. That's a $500 value!

It’s easy to register at one of the participating bowling centers in our area, including 10 Park Lanes in Charlotte, George Pappas' Liberty Lanes in Gastonia, Strikers Family Sports Center in Rock Hill, Woodleaf Lanes in Salisbury, and Pla Mor Lanes in Statesville.

Phil Harris is 50% of "Phil & Mel in the Afternoon" on K104.7. He has been with the station since 2013 and on the air in Charlotte since 2000. Before coming to the Queen City, Phil worked for radio stations in Pittsburgh, Austin, and Seattle. In addition to the weekly "Throwback Threesome" music video feature, Phil writes about things that matter to Charlotte sports fans and pet owners. He happens to be both.
