It’s A Bird… It’s A Squirrel… No, It’s A Snake In My Tree!
Monday afternoon came with a sss-urprise. My sss-on was sss-tartled by a sss-nake in our driveway. Thankfully, it was a harmless black rat snake. Not just harmless, but helpful since they eat rodents.
I used to be deathly afraid of snakes, to the point that I couldn’t walk through the reptile house at the zoo. Now that I’ve been seeing them on my property for years, I’m somewhat fascinated by them.

This particular black rat snake did something I had never seen one do before. It climbed a tree.

And it stayed there for a long time.

For all I know, that snake is still up there.
