Burned Out At Work? Try A More Unusual Career!
There’s news this week that the World Health Organization now officially recognizes “burnout” as a real medical condition. The WHO defines burnout as “feelings of energy depletion or exhaustion; increased mental distance or feelings of negativism or cynicism related to one’s job, or reduced professional efficacy.” If I were feeling that way, I might consider a career change.
If you’re thinking about switching careers, do you want to go into something similar to what you do now? Or, would you want to try a job that’s completely different and perhaps even a bit off the wall?
There are all sorts of ways to make money and some folks have found some unusual careers. If you enjoy being in the water, and aren’t deathly afraid of man-eating marine life, you could become a Shark Tank Cleaner. If you’re more a landlubber, Odor Judge might be a better job title for you. Unless you have a sensitive gag reflex.
Other alternative career paths include Food Stylist, Parabolic Expert, Iceberg Mover, and Professional Sleeper. You can find descriptions for those and other unusual jobs HERE.
