12 Charlotte-Area Ice Cream Shops Worth A Lick
If you do only one thing this weekend, make sure you get some ice cream. July is National Ice Cream Month and this Sunday (7/21) is National Ice Cream Day. You can thank Ronald Reagan for that. The late U.S. president made it official in 1984.
Luckily, we have plenty of good ice cream shops in the Charlotte area so you shouldn’t have any trouble celebrating the sweet occasion. Here’s a list:
Ben & Jerry’s (Two Charlotte scoop shops)
Dairy Queen (Multiple area locations)
Elizabeth Creamery (Elizabeth neighborhood – Try the red bean ice cream!)
Golden Cow Creamery (Charlotte)
Haagen-Dazs (SouthPark Mall)
Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams (SouthEnd, Park Road Shopping Center, NoDa)
La Michoacana Natural Ice Cream & More (North Charlotte)
The Local Scoop (Promenade on Providence)
Mr. K’s Soft Ice Cream (SouthEnd)
Ninety’s Ice Cream & Sandwiches (University Area)
Tony’s Ice Cream (Gastonia)
Two Scoops Creamery (Charlotte, Mooresville)
