Cancer Patients, Survivors, And Caregivers Finding Support In Indian Trail
Back in May, Mel and I had the honor of participating the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life at First Ward Park in uptown Charlotte. We even had our own team: Phil & Mel’s K104.7 CUREsaders.
One of our team members was Carmela Montano. But the fight against cancer isn’t just a one-night-a-year cause for Carmela and her family.
Like so many families, the Montanos have been affected by cancer and that’s why they’ve started their own support group. Every other Thursday evening, cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers are invited to The Big C Support Group at Lake Park in Indian Trail.
The group is non-profit, non-religious, and not affiliated with any hospital or healthcare organization. It’s simply a community of concerned people who share information and encouragement for one another. They also have a Facebook Group. Here are the details:
