Little Boy In Georgia Wears THE Best Shirt To The First Day Of School
When I saw this story I just smiled. With so much despair in the news the last few days, this story gave me some hope.
6 year-old Blake Rajahn walked into North Fayette Elementary on the first day of school like most kids: with brand new clothes for the new year. But the shirt he wore was a bit different from his friends. Blake wore a shirt his mom made for him with an awesome message.
Nikki, Blake’s mom, started her own personalization business earlier this summer. She asked her son if he wanted her to make him a tee shirt to wear for the first day of school. She thought Blake would ask for a sports themed shirt. Instead, Blake asked his mom to make him a different shirt.
Blake asked his mom to make him a shirt that said, “I will be your friend”. Blake wanted the shirt made so that all the kids who need a friend would know that he was there for them.
Nikki posted a picture of Blake in his tee on her business Facebook page, and it’s been viewed over 10,000 times and shared more than 5,000 times.
According to his mother, Blake has experienced bullying and hard times at school before, and simply wants other children to know he’s there for them. Damnit, I’m not crying………it’s my allergies!
Blake, I’m sure your mom has told you this lots, but just know, YOU ROCK! See Blake’s tee below. What a special young man! This story makes my heart happy.
