Carli Lloyd Makes A Case To Kick In The NFL
How long do you think it will be before there’s a female player in the NFL? Maybe sooner than we think.
Fresh off her second FIFA Women’s World Cup championship, U.S. soccer superstar Carli Lloyd turned a few heads at an NFL training camp this week. While watching a scrimmage between the Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Ravens on Tuesday, Lloyd got on the field to attempt a field goal. A 55-yard field goal. And she nailed it.
Thank you to the @Eagles for having me out! Thanks to @JustinTuck @jake_elliott22 @MayorRandyBrown for the good time and tips! 🏈 🎯 #55yd pic.twitter.com/owZ16f46Th

There might be a few football teams that could use Carli Lloyd this season. Former NFL personnel director Gil Brandt tweeted, “Honestly, I don’t think it will be long before we see a woman break through this NFL barrier. I’d give her an honest tryout if I were, say, the Bears.”
What do you think, Chicago?
