This Is Why Proofreading Is Important
I was an English major in college and although I still make numerous grammatical errors on a daily basis, I do try and proofread everything I write. Unfortunately, not every one does this. A couple in Chicago found out the hard way that proofreading is important.
A couple in Chicago sent out invitations for their wedding and did not notice that the invites had a few glaring spelling mistakes. Because of these mistakes, their invite has now gone viral. A woman that was invited to the wedding posted the invitation on a Facebook group called “That’s It, I’m Wedding Shaming” and lots of folks have commented on the mistakes.
On the invitation, ceremony is spelled “ceramony” and your was used instead of “you’re”. I get making mistakes on social media and in messages to friends, but on your wedding invitation? Come on!

I wonder how much grief the couple got from their parents? Maybe a dictionary would make a great gift for the couple. HA!
