Stephen Curry Launching Youth Basketball Team In Charlotte
Stephen Curry’s path to NBA stardom began in the Queen City. Before he shined at Charlotte Christian School and Davidson College, he played for the AAU Charlotte Stars. Now he’s launching a youth basketball team to provide a similar opportunity for the next generation of players.
Team Curry will begin playing on the Under Armour Association travel circuit this spring. The team will be managed by Pro Skills Basketball, which was co-founded by two other former Davidson players. Brendan Winters and Logan Kosmalski have been running teams in Charlotte since 2009.
Eligible players will have the opportunity to join boys and girls teams in the 15U, 16U and 17U age groups. Check the Pro Skills Basketball website for more information to come.
Part of my journey growing up in the game was competing with the Charlotte Stars AAU team. That experience tested me, gave me confidence, but most of all I just had mad fun. Now @teamcurry will hopefully do the same for the next generation. Let's get it! #TCC pic.twitter.com/6U4E8GbxNO
