Carly Pearce Is Grateful For Husband Who Gets ‘Ugly’ Business
Carly Pearce recently married fellow artist Michael Ray, and she says that it’s helpful to be in the same business as your spouse. “It’s an ugly business full of competition and full of misunderstandings, in a world where sometimes you feel alone. And to be able to have somebody that genuinely wants what’s best for me, I want what’s best for him, yet we also speak the same language, is so special and rare and I do not take that for granted.”
Michael has been one of the biggest champions and fans of Carly’s duet with Lee Brice, “I Hope You’re Happy Now,” which has become the fastest rising single of her career and will be featured on her self-titled sophomore album, which will be released on Valentine’s Day, February 14.

She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s.
Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
