We have much love and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Charlotte, North Carolina. Get to know one non-profit in the Carolinas called Best Buddies North Carolina ran by the amazing State Director, Tammy Medlock because she’s inviting everyone out on May 2nd at Symphony Park for Best Buddies Friendship Walk. Over the years the event has grown to be the number one walk in the country raising awareness and funds to support inclusion for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Register for the Best Buddies Friendship Walk Do you know someone who needs support? The IDD community that Best Buddies serves includes, but is not limited to, people with Down syndrome, autism, Fragile X, Williams syndrome, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, and other undiagnosed disabilities. Best Buddies North Carolina offers One-to-One Friendship and Leadership Development programs – positively impacting nearly 14,920 individuals with and without disabilities within the state.
