Local Charities Benefit From “Men That Cook”
The goals of the Huntersville Happy Hour Rotary Club are to serve others and improve communities locally and abroad. And sometimes they cook.
The service organization is currently looking for teams to cook and raise money for their favorite cause at the 3rd annual “Men That Cook” culinary competition at Langtree Plantation on Sunday, September 27, 2020. Last year, the event raised over $25,000 for 17 local charities.
The entry fee is $100 per cooking team. If you would like to register a team or be an event sponsor, call Bob Wilson at 704-361-9361.
The public is invited to vote for the best dishes in five different food tasting categories: Casseroles, BBQ/Wings, Beans/Soups, Desserts, and Other Fabulous Entrees. Lunch tickets are $15 online or at the door. Kids under five get in free.
Raffle tickets will be sold for a chance to win the “Happy Hour Cooler of Cheer.” Raffle winners will be announced on site. You can also browse community gift baskets filled with fun things to do in the Lake Norman area.
Two sessions are available: 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM or 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM. For more information about “Men That Cook,” call 704-905-5002 or click here.
