Gargling Bleach & Other Coronavirus Treatment Myths
“No, cocaine does NOT protect against COVID-19. It is an addictive drug that causes serious side effects and is harmful to people’s health.” Believe it or not, the French health ministry had to tweet that message to the public last week. Apparently, there was some confusion over this matter.
Similar mistakes are being made in the U.S. as the pandemic continues to touch more lives. We’ve already been scolded by Tito’s Vodka about using their product to make homemade hand sanitizer. Therefore, as a service to my fellow Americans, I have compiled a list of coronavirus treatment myths.
These are things YOU SHOULD NOT DO if you are diagnosed with COVID-19:
- Gargle or swallow bleach
- Stuff toilet paper into your nose and mouth
- Spray Lysol into any orifice
- Drink tea with honey, lemon, and Purell
- Bathe in kerosene
- Wrap your head with fiberglass insulation
- Sleep under a blanket of Clorox wipes
- Set your house on fire to “smoke out the virus”
- Two words: moonshine enema
Again, these are things you should not do. Ever. I can’t emphasize that enough. JUST DON’T! I hope this has been helpful.
