Maddie And Tae’s Maddie Marlow Was ‘Nervous’ To Share The New Album
As their sophomore album release The Way It Feels tops the Billboard Country Albums chart this week, Maddie Marlow from Maddie & Tae says that she and Tae Dye’s new project reflects the duo’s real life.
Maddie told us, “There’s so much our fans are gonna learn about us this new project. I think y’all are gonna be able to hear so many different sides of Tae and I. I think coming out with ‘Girl in a Country Song,’ that’s the song that we’re known for and I’m proud of that, we’re both proud of that, but this second album just gives you a much bigger lens to look into our lives and we are not artists that cut music or write music that doesn’t apply to our lives.”
She adds, “We love artists that do that, there’s nothing wrong with it, but we tend to always write about our real lives and real experiences. Like there’s some songs that I was even afraid of like ‘Water In His Wineglass’ that was a really personal story that I was nervous to share, but I think some of those nerves are good.”
The ladies recently gave back by posting their Gratitude to Health care works in their Nashville area and beyond. The posted to Instagram last night (4/21), “We’re sharing our Gratitune, “People Need People”, to support the amazing @vanderbilthealth community and show our gratitude and support for the hard work that doctors, nurses and medical staff are doing to keep our community safe. No thank you will every be enough, but we wanted to do a bit more! We’re teaming up with @crackerbarrel to deliver meals to 5,000 medical professionals who are working night and day for all of us. Go to crackerbarrel.com/comfort to purchase a $10 gift card and Cracker Barrel will donate an additional meal to a health care hero. Thank you Cracker Barrel for providing some homecooked comfort to these superheroes!”
The closed with, “Add your own Gratitune by visiting www.gratitunes.com and submitting your own favorite song to the playlist to be enjoyed by the doctors, nurses and medical staff on the frontlines of fighting COVID-19. #Gratitunes #VUMCHeroes #CrackerBarrelMoment.”
