Two Of America’s Best “Beach Towns” Are Closer To Charlotte Than You Think
At least once a week, my wife and I talk about how much we would like to live near the water. The question is, do we want to live near the ocean or a lake? America is full of great options in either case.
WalletHub has released their 2020 list of the Best Beach Towns to Live In, and they split it up into two categories, towns by the ocean and towns by lakes. The site looked at 191 cities based on 63 indicators of livability, including housing costs, quality of beach water, weather, number of natural disasters, attractions, and safety.
Towns in Florida, Hawaii, and California dominated the top ten in the ocean category. However, North Carolina boasts two top-ten towns on the lake list. In fact, they’re both just a stone’s throw from Charlotte. Congratulations to the residents of Cornelius and Davidson. Your property values just got even higher. Here are the lists:
