MTV’s ‘The Challenge’ is Returning

I am not surprized about this one. People love this show (my significant other included) and I even tried out once back in the day…

MTV’s hit series The Challenge is coming back for a record 36th season. The one airing right now, The Challenge: Total Madness is on track to be the franchise’s highest-rated season in eight years, with the number of people watching up 10%.

In The Challenge: Total Madness, veterans team up with rookies from shows like Amazing Race and American Ninja Warrior to see who can make it through crazy challenges and extreme stunts — or hit the road for home. In next week’s Season 35 finale, nine team members will fight for a $1,000,000 prize. The Challenge: Total Madness season finale airs Wednesday, July 15 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.

Side note, if you didn’t already know this, MTV kicked off competitor and one-time winner Dee Nguyen after her racially insensitive tweets when the season was only halfway through airing. They were pretty ridiculous and you can see her comments here.
