Brad Paisley, Luke Bryan Slated To Perform For Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame
Brad Paisley and Luke Bryan will be performing at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2020 Inductions debuts Saturday, November 7th at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.
It seems likely that will be paying tribute to The Doobie Brothers; the other inductees in this year’s class are Nine Inch Nails, Whitney Houston, the Notorious B.I.G, T. Rex and Depeche Mode.
In 2014, a The Doobie Brothers tribute album was released of country stars singing their songs and it included Blake Shelton, Zac Brown, Toby Keith and Vince Gill.
Blake talked about doing his Doobie Brothers cover of “Listen To The Music” back in 2014.
Luke Bryan covers the Doobie Brothers song in his live show. Here he is from 2011 with the Doobie Brothers playing “China Groove.”
Here’s Dolly Parton from 1976 singing “China Groove” from her TV show Dolly!
There are 11 musicians who have been inducted into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Country Music Hall of Fame. They are: Jimmie Rodgers, Hank Williams, Chet Atkins, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, The Everly Brothers, Bill Monroe, Bob Wills, Brenda Lee, Floyd Cramer, and Sam Phillips.
