Lowe’s Adding Thousands Of New Workers
Lowe’s is staffing up for the busy holiday season, according to a company press release. The Mooresville, NC-based home improvement retailer announced that it will hire 20,000 new full-time, part-time, seasonal and overnight workers in its stores. Retail positions include cashiers, customer service associates, receivers, unloaders, load pullers, and sales specialists.
The company also plans to add 2,500 new employees to its regional distribution centers across the United States. Available supply chain openings include day, night, weekend, and overnight shifts.

In addition to the hiring push, Lowe’s is distributing an additional $100 million in bonuses for front-line employees on November 13th. This will be the sixth round of extra payments since the start of the pandemic. Full-time hourly associates will receive $300, and part-time and seasonal associates will receive $150.
