‘Knight Rider’ Car Is On The Auction Block
It’s the car that just about every pre-adolescent boy drooled over in the ’80s. I’m talking about K.I.T.T., the iconic talking, self-driving Trans Am that David Hasselhoff made famous on NBC’s hit series, Knight Rider. Or maybe the car made him famous.
Believe it or not, Hasselhoff is auctioning off K.I.T.T. through Diligent Auction Services of Canoga Park, California. The 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am can’t actually talk and drive itself, but it’s described as “fully functional” and “with full conversion.” The listing also says “the Hoff will personally deliver the car to the new owner.”
It won’t go cheap, nor should it. Quite frankly, I don’t understand why K.I.T.T. isn’t in the Smithsonian. At last check, the bidding was in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. Bids are being accepted until January 23rd. You can see the car HERE.
