UNC And USC Ranked Among America’s Best Online College Programs
I currently have two college students in my immediate family. My oldest son is a freshman at UNC-Chapel Hill. My wife is a graduate student at UNC-Charlotte. So far, their academic experiences at those schools have been entirely online, but at least they’re earning their degrees.
Even without a pandemic, online learning can be a good option for working adults. Of course, some online programs are better than others. U.S. News & World Report has released their 2021 Accredited Online College rankings. The magazine rated 1,600 bachelor’s and graduate programs in a variety of fields, including business, engineering, education, and nursing. A couple of schools in the Carolinas are highlighted:
- Carnegie Mellon University (Tepper) in Pennsylvania and University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill (Kenan-Flagler) tie for top honors for the Best Online MBA program.
- Rush University in Illinois and University of South Carolina tie for the best online program for nursing,
- University of Florida has the best online education program.
- Columbia University in New York is tops for computer information technology.
- Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida earned the honor for the Best Online Bachelor’s Program.
