Beautiful Island In Ireland Is Available For Rent
The last big trip my wife and I took before the pandemic was our 20th wedding anniversary getaway to Ireland in the fall of 2019. The Emerald Isle quickly became one of my favorite places on Earth. The people, the food (Guinness included), and the scenery are all unforgettable. Plus, the flight isn’t too long so it’s easy to get there.
We can’t wait to go back to Ireland and I just found an opportunity to bring some friends with us. According to Travel+Leisure, there is a private island up for grabs that you can rent. The Collanmore Island Lodge is located in Clew Bay, which is off the west coast of Ireland. It’s just a 10-minute ferry ride from the town of Westport.
The property’s many enticing features include a garden, kayaking, a private beach, a hot tub, Cable TV, Wi-Fi, heating and air conditioning, a full kitchen, and an outdoor barbecue. There’s even an Irish-inspired bar area but guests have to stock it themselves. The price is also attractive. The Collanmore Island Lodge fits 22 people and rents for only $1,192 a night.
