Jerry Seinfeld Directing And Starring In Movie About Pop-Tarts
In his stand-up act, Jerry Seinfeld does a bit about Pop-Tarts. It starts like this: “How did they know that there would be a need for a frosted fruit-filled heated rectangle in the same shape as the box it comes in, and with the same nutrition as the box it comes in?” That joke has inspired a new movie.

Consequence reports that Jerry Seinfeld has inked a deal with Netflix to turn his stand-up joke about the iconic toaster pastry into a feature film, which he says is “based on pure silliness.” The comedian will be directing and starring in Unfrosted. No release date yet. The premise reminds me a little of Sausage Party, as in food being funny, but I’m sure the Pop-Tarts movie won’t be as bawdy.
