‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ Is Now A Card Game
The hit HBO sitcom “Curb Your Enthusiasm” is heading into its eleventh season and, yes, it will address pandemic life. I’m guessing social distancing was not a problem for Larry David. It gave him the opportunity to avoid people and uncomfortable situations. Instead, Larry could be lampin’ at the house and play his new card game with Leon.
If you’re looking for a way to add awkwardness and spite to your next game night, you’ll need to pick up “Curb Your Enthusiasm: A Pretty, Pretty, Pretty Good Party Game.” According to AV Club, the 3-to-6-player card game promises to give people the opportunity to “compete to be the ultimate Larry David.”
The rules are fairly straightforward. Players have to match Situation Cards like “you cut around a slow man with a walker to get to the bathroom first” with Prett-ay Good Excuse Cards like “I’m a very complex man.” However, if one of the Excuse Cards is “too good to be true,” a player can put down a “Try Again, Larry” Card to mess with them. That last part has Susie written all over it, minus the expletives. The first player to win five Situation Cards wins the game.
Much like the TV show, “Curb Your Enthusiasm: A Pretty, Pretty, Pretty Good Party Game” is recommended for ages 17 and up. You can see what it looks like and order yours on Amazon. Let the cringe-worthy social interactions begin!
