The Most Stolen Vehicles In NC, SC, And Nationwide
Make sure your car doors are locked whenever you park it somewhere. Hopefully, you have an alarm in your vehicle. Just to be safe, get The Club and make sure “Viper is armed.” Car thieves are everywhere and, apparently, they play favorites.
The National Insurance Crime Bureau has put out their report of the top ten most stolen vehicles of 2020. If you drive a truck, you need to be especially careful. Four of the spots on the list go to full-size pickup trucks.
Here are America’s most stolen vehicles of 2020:
- Ford full-size pickup (44,014)
- Chevrolet full-size pickup (40,968)
- Honda Civic (34,144)
- Honda Accord (30,814)
- Toyota Camry (16,915)
- Nissan Altima (14,668)
- GMC full-size pickup (13,016)
- Toyota Corolla (12,515)
- Honda CR-V (12,309)
- Dodge full-size pickup (11,991)
The NICB also breaks it down by state. In North Carolina, thieves are partial to the 1997 Honda Accord. In South Carolina, it’s the 2006 Ford full-size pickup that gets swiped the most. You can see the rest of the state-by-state results HERE.
