Police Department: Turn In Your Ex For Valentine’s Day
What would you call the opposite of Valentine’s Day? How about “Revenge Day?” Or, more specifically, “Incarcerate Your Ex Day?” A Georgia police department says February is the ideal month to turn in a former lover who is wanted by the authorities.
According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the Rockmart Police Department is offering a special Valentine’s Day experience for exes who have broken not only hearts, but also the law. The package includes “a set of limited-edition platinum bracelets, free transportation with a chauffeur, a one-night minimum stay in luxurious five-star accommodations, and professional glamour shots posted online for all to enjoy.”

“Luxurious five-star accommodations” might be a stretch. But who knows? The jail in Rockmart, Georgia could be pretty swanky. I don’t really want to find out though.
The police department’s Facebook post has been shared hundreds of times. They say they actually borrowed the idea from a Sheriff in eastern North Carolina. And while the police in Rockmart admit that this is meant as a joke, they wouldn’t be surprised if someone took them up on their offer. Neither would I. There are a lot of bitter people in the world.
