The New Plans For Discovery Place Nature Museum In Charlotte Look So Cool
Earth Day was this past Friday (April 22nd) and to celebrate our planet’s holiday, Discovery Place Nature in Charlotte gave us a first look at its plans for renovation.
Discovery Place Nature Museum in Charlotte is planning a huge renovation project that includes a new building, nature center, and gardens. The new museum will be massive; nearly 26,000 square feet. It will be located near Freedom Park and Little Sugar Creek Greenway. Discovery Place, the museum will feature a free public garden with native plants. There will also be cool features like a treetop canopy walk, a naturalist lab, and an outdoor otter habitat.
The renderings of the new museum are awesome. That outdoor treetop canopy walkway looks so cool!
According to Discovery Place, construction will begin next Spring. I’m definitely excited for this. It looks like not only an awesome experience for families, but overall a cool addition to Charlotte. The current museum has been in Charlotte for 71 years, so it’s time for a fresh update.
