Fajita Craving Leads To $250K Lottery Jackpot For North Carolina Woman
The next time you have a very specific food craving, just go with it. It could pay off big time. That’s exactly what happened to a woman in North Carolina this month.
According to the North Carolina Education Lottery, Robin Hicks of Burlington was craving steak fajitas but didn’t have any tomatoes or fajita seasoning mix in her kitchen. So Robin went to the grocery store to get the missing ingredients.
On her way home, Robin stopped at Kim’s Mart on Webb Avenue in Burlington to cash in a $50 lottery ticket. While she was there she also bought another scratch-off ticket. She ended up getting a 20X The Cash scratch-off, which turned out to be a $250,000 winner.
Was it the fajita craving itself or the lack of those two ingredients that led Robin Hicks to her windfall? While the philosophers among us ponder that, Hicks says she plans to pay off all of her bills, as well as her mother’s bills. No word on how the fajitas came out.
