North Carolina Trail Cam May Have Caught A Big Scary Wild Animal
Is it a bird, a plane, or a tiger? Or something else? A trail camera caught a picture of what appears to be a tiger on the loose in North Carolina. A tiger! The picture is grainy and it’s a bit hard to make out the figure. But it does look like a large cat. But, as we all know, looks can be deceiving.
According to WBTV, Rowan County Sheriff Travis Allen says a trail camera snagged a picture of what seems to be a tiger in Rockwell County. Investigating the claim, the authorities checked with all the local large cat owners in the area to make sure one wasn’t loose. If you’re like me, you’re wondering how many damn wild animals and big cats are in the area?
The Tiger World Wildlife Sanctuary is in Rockwell, so there’s a possibility that a tiger could actually be wandering around. The Sanctuary says all of their tigers are accounted for. In addition, they offered their assistance to the authorities.
So, What Is In The Picture?
After investigating further, it seems that the animal isn’t as large as it appears. And since no large, wild cats have been reported missing, there’s a good chance it’s just a tabby cat in the video. There’s a possibility it could be a bobcat. Officers, after walking around the area where the trail camera caught the picture, and driving in the area, haven’t encountered a large cat.
If a tiger was in the area, it’s very likely someone would see it, since they’re so large. And since no large cats are missing from The Tiger World Wildlife Sanctuary, it’s safe to say one isn’t prowling around. Looking at the picture, it DOES look like a large cat! Since there isn’t anything to compare the size of the animal to, it’s most likely not as large as it appears in the picture.
