Christmas Charcuter-Wreaths Is Festive Food For Your Guests
For a few years now, charcuterie boards have been popular. And it’s understandable! Yummy meats, cheeses, crackers, fruit, and veggies all in one spot. Now you can upgrade your platter for the holidays by making a ‘Charcuter-Wreath’ which is going viral on TikTok. According to Mashed, these are all the rage for holiday parties and gatherings.
Themed charcuterie boards started popping up on social media within the last year or so, and you can create any kind of board you want. I’ve blogged about butter boards, hot chocolate boards, and cookie boards. Now ‘Charcuter-Wreaths’ are here to add some festive flair to your table. The idea is to create any type of charcuterie board you want, but on a wreath-shaped board or tray.
If you’re having a holiday party or going to one, or if you’re having folks over for Christmas fun and football, these boards are perfect! They serve as a great snack for your guests but have a holiday theme. Obviously, you can fill your board with anything you want, but if you’re trying to stay within a Christmas theme, TikTok has some suggestions.
How To Holiday-Up Your Platter
Some festive options for your ‘Charcuter-Wreath’ to give it a Christmas boost are to add red grapes or berries to the board. Red raspberries would be perfect! Cranberries would be great too! If you’re crafty, making red radish roses would look amazing or if you know how to make salami roses that would be cool. Adding spiced or candied nuts will add to the Christmas theme. Cinnamon pecans are my favorite! A must is some saltiness, so green olives and small green pickles are quite Christmasy!
Red apples cut into small pieces with a dip would go well, and to solidify the Christmas theme, some small Christmas sugar cookies or gingerbread cookies would be perfect. Fresh twigs of rosemary, dill, or basil will add to that wreath look. Although this isn’t mentioned in the Mashed article, I have a great idea! Publix spinach dip, that you can find in their deli section, is tasty and would fit the theme. If you’re making a big ‘Charcuter-Wreath’ you can add some dip in a glass dish along with pomegranate seeds on top. Or if you can find red corn chips, they’d be perfect!
The ideas and options are endless, and it really prefers on your taste and decor style. Since cheeses are usually on a charcuterie board, using a soft cheese like brie for your ‘Charcuter-Wreath’ would be great since you can use a cookie cutter in the center of it to make it more festive. If you have a gingerbread man cookie cutter or a star cookie cutter, you could have the cheese in the center of the board. Festive!
