Nicks unveiled her special edition Barbie during an Oct. 1 concert at Madison Square Garden. The doll captures Nicks during the Rumours-era of Fleetwood Mac.
Nicks took to X following the performance to share close-up images of the special edition Barbie. She wrote, in part, about the Barbie, “Of course, I questioned, ‘Would she look like me? Would she have my spirit? Would she have my have my heart…'”
Nicks added, “When I look at her, I see my 27-year-old self. All the memories of walking out on a big stage in that black outfit and those gorgeous boots come rushing back.”
My Stevie @Barbie has been with me now for several months. When Mattel came to me asking if I would like to have a Barbie made in the “Rumours” cover style I was very overwhelmed. Of course I questioned “would she look like me? Would she have my spirit? Would she have my heart…”… pic.twitter.com/JQXjF7XSMK

Nicks’ Collaboration with Dolly Parton
One of the biggest highlights for Nicks in 2023 was her collaboration with Dolly Parton, which is featured on the country icon’s new album Rockstar.
Parton and Nicks recorded an original track for the album titled “What Has Rock and Roll Ever Done For You.” The song is one of nine originals on Rockstar. Apparently, the track was written by Nicks years ago and meant to be recorded by Fleetwood Mac.
Parton shared this new information in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. Parton relayed that Nicks told her she wrote the song ” … when we were in the heat of our stuff.” She also noted that Nicks said, “It’s a song I love but they didn’t think it was good enough to be on a [Fleetwood Mac] record.”
Interestingly, the song is about someone Nicks was involved with in the rock world, but Parton doesn’t share who it is. All Nicks told Parton was she wanted to record it ” … to commemorate that time in my life and that person.”
