IKEA Is Bringing A New Concept To Their Second Charlotte Location
Get your Allen wrenches ready! IKEA has announced the opening of a second Charlotte location. The Swedish furniture and housewares giant is set to launch IKEA South Charlotte in the Promenade on Providence shopping center (10844 Providence Road) this summer.
The new store will be a bit different from the one in the University area. According to the company’s news release, it’s going to be one of IKEA’s new smaller-format “Plan & order point with Pick-up” locations. Inside, customers will be able to get help interior design planning and order items for delivery only. Sorry, no meatballs. The South Charlotte store will not sell food.

In the last year, IKEA also introduced a revolutionary digital tool called IKEA Kreativ, which helps customers be their own interior designer. You can now visualize and design your home space like a professional. This AI-powered feature within the exiting IKEA app allows users to scan their rooms, remove existing furniture, and virtually test out new products in their space.
The IKEA Kreativ tool offers capabilities such as trying different colors and styles, utilizing patented technology for 3D model reconstruction. It also includes access to over fifty 3D showrooms for inspiration, a scene scanner for creating exact replicas of users’ rooms, and a feature to save, share, and purchase products directly through the app.
