Gina Arter with the Waxhaw Lions Club reached out to tell us about a great upcoming breakfast event. The Waxhaw Lions Club, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is hosting a Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser at Waxhaw Methodist Church on Saturday, March 9th, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

The proceeds from all Waxhaw Lions Club fundraisers go back into the local community for the benefit of the public. This time, they’re specifically focused on raising money to purchase a communication board for the new Waxhaw Downtown Park. Once installed, the communication board will assist children on the autism spectrum.

Waxhaw Lions Club members are dedicated to giving back to the community and helping those in need. Their projects include collection of used eyeglasses, pediatric eye screenings, food drives, visiting residents at White Oak, support of the NC Lions Camp Dogwood for VIPs (Visually Impaired Persons), and various hunger and environmental initiatives.

The breakfast fundraiser will feature an all-you-can-eat menu with pancakes, sausage, juice, tea, and coffee served by dedicated Lions Club members. There will also be raffle prizes, broom sales, and more. Tickets are available at the door for $10 per person. Kids 8 and under get in for $5. And if you can, please bring any used eyeglasses to donate.
