Grilled Cheese Festival Offering Best Comfort Food
A grilled cheese sandwich is one of the best comfort foods. No matter what time of year it is, a good grilled cheese sandwich just hits the spot. The Charlotte Grilled Cheese Festival 2024 is the perfect opportunity for you to taste test some variations of this classic. This year’s festival is happening Saturday, April 27 from 1-4 P.M. at 1435 South Tryon St. here in Charlotte.
Thanks to Facebook, I was able to get all the details on the event. A friend of mine re-shared the info on her page, and I saw all the info. This festival will be celebrating this iconic comfort food. You’ll be able to try different types of grilled cheese sandwiches from local chefs and restaurants. In addition to eating, there will be tasty drinks from 2 Craft Breweries, a Tito’s Bar, Bloody Mary Garden, and Mimosa Bar. They had me at Bloody Mary Garden!
In my opinion, a good grilled cheese sandwich is better when someone else makes it. My friend Julie makes one of the best I’ve had! I’m a pickle fan, so when making this classic sandwich at home, I’ll often add pickles. So good!
There will also be live entertainment, lots of local vendors, and other fun to be had while you’re making your mouth happy tasting lots of grilled cheese’. According to the Facebook page about the festival, last year’s event sold out, so get your tickets ASAP!
Tickets are available now, and with a general admission ticket you’ll get:
–Unlimited Grilled Cheese Samples (1pm-4pm)
-2 Beverage Tickets
-Live Music

VIP tickets are also available, and with the upgrade you’ll snag:
-An Extra Hour of Grilled Cheese Sampling (Early Entry at 12pm)
-5 Beverage Tickets
-Live Music
-Fun Games and Activities
-Raffle Ticket(s)
Grilled Cheese and Helping Others
Both ticket types are a good deal! Not only will you get to eat silly, have drinks, and enjoy a good time, you’ll also be helping kids in our community. Proceeds from the event will be benefiting AltruSpirit, a Charlotte non-profit that provides athletic programming for at-risk/financially disadvantaged youth in our area.
Having worked with at-risk kids when I was teaching middle school, I love that this non-profit exists. A few of the kids that I taught were really into sports, and as an English teacher, I was all about getting kids to get interested in reading. For a few of the students, sports were all they had an interest in. Encouraging them to read about sports, as wells as play sports, was something I did often.
All the ticket info and details about the Charlotte Grilled Cheese Festival 2024 can be found here. Plan on wearing comfy pants! ‘National Grilled Cheese Day’ is April 12, so this is a great way to celebrate this simple but yummy comfort food!
