NC First Fruits Farm Memorial Hot Air Balloon Festival Honoring Military Heroes
I love hot air balloons and have since I was a kid. That’s why the headline about this festival caught my eye. Here in North Carolina, you can check out the First Fruits Farm Memorial Hot Air Balloon Festival to see amazing balloons in the sky while honoring military heroes. The festival is happening June 3-4 at First Fruit Farms in Louisburg, North Carolina. If you’re like me and you’re unfamiliar with Louisburg, it’s only a two- and 1/2-hour drive from Charlotte.
According to Only in Your State, this amazing festival will delight adults and kids alike! You can enjoy walking around the 1000-acre working farm, take in gorgeous hot-air balloons in the sky, check out live music, and more. In addition, this hot air balloon festival will be honoring those who sacrificed everything while serving our country.
Kids will love seeing all the decorative hot air balloons and have a blast on the carnival rides. The festival will also have a marker’s market, so you can do some shopping, and a giant walk-in balloon. Cool! Talking to the veterans is something else you can do at the balloon festival, which is such an honor. Other activities include pony rides, a petting zoo, a dog show, and artists creating sculptures with a chainsaw. Fireworks will happen in the evening to wrap up a massive fun-filled day!

Take A Wild Ride
Despite my 2nd marriage being a total ruckus, I will say getting engaged to my 2nd husband was exciting! He set up a hot-air balloon ride for us in Anderson, S.C. I had NO idea what was happening! We arrived at the launch site, and that’s when I knew we were going up in a balloon. Our ride was early in the morning, which was beautiful.
When my now ex whipped out a diamond ring, I almost fell out of the balloon! Total surprise! After riding around for a bit and seeing some breathtaking scenery, we landed, and had champagne. A fun and exciting day!
