When Are You Most Likely To Have A Heart Attack?
If you’re reading this, it means you made it through another Monday morning without having a fatal heart attack. Hopefully, you’ll get through this afternoon, too.
Monday mornings used to be the most common time for people to have heart attacks. However, according to a new study, cardiac arrests are now most commonly reported in the afternoon. The study also shows that Monday is not the day when most heart attacks happen anymore. There has been a small increase in Sunday incidents.
Researchers think that these changes might have something to do with our 24/7 lifestyles, as well as more accurate reporting on when cardiac arrests are happening. I’ve also heard for years that there is a spike in men having heart attacks on Super Bowl Sunday, but it’s probably more likely to happen if your favorite team is actually playing in the Super Bowl.
