Fast Food Restaurants Want To Track Your License Plate
How would you like to be able to pull up to a drive-thru window and have your food waiting without even having to talk into the little box? Fast food is about to get even faster thanks to new technology that would allow restaurants to track your license plate.
License plate tracking is already being used in South Korea and, according to the Financial Times, will likely be in the U.S. by the end of 2019. The idea is that your order is automatically placed when you pull up to the drive-thru line, thus speeding up the process and saving precious minutes in your busy day. The tracking technology could also allow for menus to be customized and link your car to loyalty plans.
Would you want your car to be tracked at fast food restaurants? We’re already being tracked by so many places in so many ways. What’s one more?
