Michael Bublé Makes Parents Cry With “Forever Now”
As if sending your child off to college didn’t make you emotional enough, here comes Michael Bublé with a tearjerker that gets you right in the gut. “Forever Now” was released back in March but it has gained a lot of attention during back-to-school season. Listening to the song is one thing. Watching the video only makes it worse.
Michael Bublé is nowhere to be seen in the video. In fact, there aren’t any people it. All we see is a child’s bedroom as it transforms from a nursery to an older kid’s room, then empty again, to a nursery once more. It’s the circle of parenthood.
“Forever Now” hits very close to home for me. I have two boys in high school now. One is a senior filling out college applications. Please pass the tissues.
