Taylor Swift Cleared To Perform Her Hits At The AMAs
After the drama last week with Taylor Swift, Scooter Braun, and her former label, Big Machine, Taylor Swift has been cleared to perform all her old hits at the American Music Awards this weekend.
Per TMZ, Dick Clark Productions and Big Machine have made a statement about the incident. They say, “The Big Machine Label Group and Dick Clark Productions announce that they have come to terms on a licensing agreement that approves their artists’ performances to stream post-show and for re-broadcast on mutually approved platforms. This includes the upcoming American Music Awards performances.”
They also add, “It should be noted that recording artists do not need label approval for live performances on television or any other live media.” Big Machine had previously made this point in their rebuttal to Swift.
Taylor Swift has not responded.
The American Music Awards are on Sunday, November 24, on ABC.
