Morgan Wallen Apologizes For Saturday Night Incident
Morgan Wallen was arrested on Saturday night (May 23) at around 11 pm for public intoxication and disorderly conduct, after an incident at Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk in Nashville, according to local news outlet WKRN.
WRKN reports that, according to arrest records, officers observed security guards for the establishment kicking Wallen, 27, out of the club for being disorderly. According to the report, officers gave Wallen several opportunities to walk away with his friends, but he refused. According to the report, Wallen had a strong odor of alcohol and was deemed to be a danger to himself and the public. Wallen got into multiple verbal altercations with people passing by and was placed under arrest due to being intoxicated in public, unable to take care of himself, and the reasonable likelihood the offense would continue. Bond was set at $500.
Earlier tonight, Wallen tweeted that the incident occurred as he and some friends were “horse-playing with each other.”
“We didn’t mean any harm, and we want to say sorry to any bar staff or anyone that was affected,” he added.
He then tweeted, “Thank you to the local authorities for being so professional and doing their job with class. Love y’all.”
