Unsolved Mysteries Is Getting A Reboot From Netflix
If you were a fan of the show Unsolved Mysteries then you’re gonna be happy about this news! Unsolved Mysteries is back and it’s on Netflix. The long running true crime and paranormal franchise is being revamped by Stranger Things EP Shawn Levy.
The original series, hosted by Robert Stack, ran for over 500 episodes between 1987 and 2010. After Robert Stack passed away, actor Dennis Farina hosted the show.
The 12-part show, which airs on Netflix July 1, will use re-enactments in a documentary format. It will profile real-life mysteries and unsolved crimes, lost love, cases involving missing persons and unexplained paranormal events. Each episode will focus on one mystery. In the original series, actors played the victims, criminals and witnesses but family members and police were regularly interviewed.
I’m a big true crime fan! I used to watch the reruns of Unsolved Mysteries late at night years ago. The trailer for the reboot looks really good. Has a creepy vibe. Read more on the show here and here’s the first trailer for the show. Something new to binge watch on Netflix. Yay!
