Pranksters Turn Streets Of NYC Into ‘Mario Kart’
I am not a gamer but there’s one video game that I think is truly great: Mario Kart. It’s the only game I ever played well. I ruled the road on the Nintendo Wii back in 2008. Since then, there hasn’t been another video game that I’ve liked as much. When I saw what a couple of Internet pranksters did in New York City recently, I got the itch to dust off the Wii once again.
According to the New York Post, Caleb Simpson, a North Carolina native, and Irving Salazar transformed themselves into Mario and Luigi, respectively, and turned the streets of Manhattan into their own Mario Kart race course. Along the way, they passed plenty of amused bystanders and stopped for a slice of New York pizza. They were even stopped by the NYPD in Times Square for an ID check but were allowed to proceed without incident. See the fun below:
