Charlotte And Concord Ranked Among Best Places To Live In America
According to a couple of new rankings, Charlotte and Concord are good places to live. Tell us something we don’t know.
Livability.com is out with its 2020 Top 100 Best Places to Live list. Fort Collins, CO snagged the top spot but Charlotte is ranked a respectable 13th, beating out more than 1,000 small and mid-sized cities with populations between 20,000 and 1,000,000.
The ranking is based on factors like safety, affordability, economic stability, outdoor recreation, accessibility, and community engagement. Charlotte received points for features such as Lake Norman, the U.S. National Whitewater Center, the city’s parks system, number of Fortune 500 companies, and Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
A short drive from uptown Charlotte is another very livable place. Money ranked Concord 24th on its 2020 list of the 50 Best Places to Live in America. The magazine highlighted Concord’s historic downtown and impressive job growth. Employment has risen 33% in Concord since 2010. Oh yeah, it’s also home to a really big racetrack.
