Tips And Tricks To Help You Conquer ‘Wordle’
I don’t often get sucked in by social media trends, but then I saw my friends posting these gray and green squares on Facebook. When I learned that it had something to do with a game called Wordle, I was intrigued. I’m a bit of a “word nerd.” I love playing Scrabble, Upwords, Words with Friends, and doing crossword puzzles. Wordle is right up my alley. Apparently, it’s right up a lot of people’s alley.
Some Wordle players have been complaining that the once daily puzzle has become more difficult since the game was purchased by the New York Times. I haven’t found that to be the case, but you can make it more challenging for yourself but going into Settings and switching to “Hard Mode.” That just means that any correct letters must be used in your subsequent guesses.
The New York Times has offered some tip and tricks for playing Wordle. I use a couple of these myself, such as starting with a word that has a lot of vowels. “Audio” has been a helpful one. It’s also important to remember that a letter could show up twice in a word. You can read more about how to play and improve your Wordle performance HERE.
